City Council has been our biggest supporter since the Club started in 1997. Eamon O'Rourke (Head of Leisure Services) have always recognised the basketball development work in Manchester and the community benefit and have supported us accordingly. Without this support, there would be no Amaechi Basketball Centre and our success would have been much more limited.
The Magic have been sponsored for the last 2 years by the national retailer - Brighthouse. Their presence can be seen at all Magic games at the Amaechi Basketball Centre on Saturdays at 7:30pm. Brighthouse has 130 stores nationwide, with many in the Greater Manchester area. They sell household and kitchen appliances and furniture - the nearest shop to ABC is based at Longsight.

This is a government scheme which matches funding which any Sports Club may gain from commercial enterprises. Greater Manchester Community Basketball has been able to claim these funds on 5 occasions since we started 6 years ago.
Foundation for Sport and the Arts
Funds are provided by the Football Pools and substantial grants were awarded to Greater Manchester Community Basketball for a new mini-bus and towards the building of the Amaechi Basketball Centre.
